Last month I had such a busy month preparing for my press day. I will write more about the great day I had at my press day in my next blog post.

I met Lucy Mecklenburgh from The Only Way Is Essex at my press day, she came with Giovanna Falcone (fiancé to Tom from McFly) who is such a lovely girl. Lucy is dating Giovanna's brother Mario Falcone. Lucy Mecklenburgh was very nice when I spoke to her. She liked my Vintage boho peace pendant

Lucy Mecklenburgh also chose My Fair Lady bracelet to take home with her which both the bracelet and pendant is a limited edition.



The Vintage boho peace pendant was also featured in Look Magazine last week as well as more of my designs which I will also write a blog post about. Like I said in my previous blog post I have so much news!

Fearne Cotton has also been wearing my Peace pendant and I found out recently that Fearne Cotton wore my Peace pendant on Ant and Dec's show Push The Button earlier this year. Check it out Fearne looks great on the show:)

Capital Radio Summertime Ball 2011

Last month I had the amazing opportunity to gift the artist's playing at Capital Radio's Summertime Ball. I chose to gift Jennifer Lopez, Nicole Scherzinger, Jessie J, Lisa Snowdon, Katy B, Ne-Yo, Wretch 32, Mike Posner and Enrique.



I custom made designs to suit each artist and as you can hear in my youtube video I was also mentioned on Captial Radio as I made an extra gift bag for a competition winner too.

This was an exciting project as I made some different designs that I don't usually make which will be available on my website soon.

Introducing my partner

I would like to introduce my partner Matthew Taylor.



We have been together 8 and a half years and been engaged for 5 years! We keep planning to get married but never got round to it yet hence the name "Zara Taylor" we were due to marry when I first started my jewellery business but I've been so busy ever since we haven't had time to organize a wedding yet!

Matt left work at the end of last year while my Mum was in hospital to help me run the online shop and has been making most of the orders ever since.

He has been designing some new designs for my new collection which I will be revealing later this month.

The current design that Matt has designed on my website is Crossing Paths Necklace



We make a great partnership not only in our personal lives but also for our jewellery business:)

The Only Way Is Essex

I love ALL reality shows! I think because it is real life it makes it more appealing. I am loving the latest reality shows The Only Way Is Essex and Made In Chelsea even though both are far from what my life is like or anyone I know but I love to see how other people live especially so near to where I live.

A new start

I have so much great news to tell but I thought I would make my blog a bit more personal so people can get to know me the designer. When I first started my blog my intentions were for people to know where I get my inspiration from and get to know the person behind the designs.

Firstly I want people to know a bit about me. I was born in South London and brought up by my Irish Mother. She was a very independent strong woman that came to London when she was 17 years old. I never lived with my Thai Father, he lives in Thailand.

My Mother died exactly 4 months ago today, she caught the Swine Flu last Christmas and was in an induced coma for 40 days before she died. It has been a very hard time for me but my Mum was very proud of me, she would want me to stay strong and follow my dreams.

Here we are together at the Mumpretuner awards last September when I was nominated for an award for my jewellery business.



Since my Mum's death my work and family have kept me motivated to keep going and stay strong though it has been challenging at times. I have such positive people around me, who are so proud and supportive. I do feel lucky!

I think its important to stay positive and be surrounded by good people. My friends who are around me now are so inspirational and I am blown away by the amazing support they have been to me.

My close friends now have been helping me stay strong and helping me with my jewellery business. This includes my partner Matthew Taylor who has given up work to help me full time run the online shop as well as look after our two kids.

We have moved to my Mum's house in London where we have more space to work and I feel closer to my Mum too. Lots of changes are happening right now and I believe my Mum is guiding me in the right direction:)
